Accounting Senior – Technical Accounting and Reporting

The position will report to the Assistant Vice President of Global Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting, assisting with various reporting and accounting, including derivative accounting and related journal entry assistance.  This position will also assist in the creation and/or updating of related technical accounting positions, financial statement disclosures and internal controls while working closely with external and internal auditors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly statement of cash flows support files, including consolidated file and seven currency specific files. Prepare associated quarterly disclosures.
• Review monthly interest rate and foreign exchange risk hedge accounting journal entries. Review associated quarterly disclosures.
• Work with external audit team to ensure requested items are submitted in a timely fashion.
• Assist in the preparation and review of the SEC filings, i.e. 10K, 10Q and Earnings Releases, including preparation of additional disclosure schedules for SEC filings.
• Prepare other required business reports and government surveys.
• Manage schedule of presenters for in-house continuing professional education program, and send out certificate documentation.
• Maintain and update financial policy manual database.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration) and 5 years of related experience required.
• Requires broad knowledge of accounting practices/principles and preparation of strategic recommendations to management.
• Proficiency in Excel.
  
  

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Accounting.
• CPA preferred.
• Three to five years of accounting experience (preferably in public accounting).
• Sarbanes-Oxley experience.
• Intermediate skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to learn and become proficient in JD Edwards and various other financial application systems.
